Hydrangea macrophylla 'Nikko Blue'
Attractive and luxuriant foliage with great masses of mophead flowers. Acid soils produce blue flowers, while alkaline soils result in pink blooms. Given a little mulch protection, the crowns will grow into bushy shrubs 4 to 6 feet tall and wide in one season. Both hardy and beautiful.
