Delivery Policy

Plant and landscape supply deliveries will be made Monday through Saturday unless other arrangements are made with the delivery coordinator. Some restrictions may apply.

Deliveries are made in a light-duty truck or on a box or flatbed trailer. Our driver will “tailgate” the material for you (move the material to the end of the truck for ease of unloading), but will not unload the material. Please be certain to be present and ready to unload your order when the delivery arrives.

Should a forklift be necessary to remove large trees or palletized material from a flatbed trailer, an additional charge will be incurred. This additional charge is included in the delivered price of sod, but not of plants, stone or other landscape materials. The driver will place the material as close to the desired area as the forklift will allow.

Buck Jones cannot be held responsible for any damage to your driveway or landscape and will ask that you sign a release form prior to unloading. Again, please be certain to be present at the time of delivery and ready to unload your order as needed.

One of our sales persons or our delivery coordinator will call you at least one day prior and give you an approximate delivery time. Buck Jones cannot, however, be held responsible for expenses incurred to the customer for late deliveries if the circumstances were out of our control (ie. mechanical failure of the truck, traffic, etc.).

We do require a deposit of one-half of the delivery charge at the time of ordering for retail deliveries. Weather rarely affects shipping on our end; therefore, please make any cancellations at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled delivery in order to have your deposit refunded.

If you or your representative are not present at the time of delivery, we regret that we are unable to leave your material and you will lose your deposit.

Freight on deliveries that exceed 75 miles will be $1.50 per loaded mile.

All claims for damaged material or improper quantities must be made before the driver leaves the delivery site.

NOTE: Effective immediately, a $25.00 fuel surcharge will be added to all deliveries.
